In our efforts to appease the atomic octopus that lives beneath the Black Rock Desert, in hopes that it bestows great weather conditions at Burning Man 2026, we humbly offer this. An Octopus Of The Day, or Occo The Day. We think the more fun weird pictures we make, find, or post… the better the chances are for a great weather year.

That kind of challenge sounds like our kind of fun. We may not have a post every single day, but we’ll be thinking about it. We’ll share some of our favorites as often as we’re able to. Today’s Occo The Day entry is a little unusual: an octopus chef! It came about through playing around with some generative tools to experiment with different image styles. If you look closely, there are more than a few things that just aren’t right. The results are definitely not ‘production-ready’ but we feel like this could be a fun direction to head if we ever wanted to explore it.
