In our efforts to appease the atomic octopus that lives beneath the Black Rock Desert, in hopes that it bestows great weather conditions at Burning Man 2026, we humbly offer this. An Octopus Of The Day, or Occo The Day. We think the more fun weird pictures we make, find, or post… the better the chances are for a great weather year.
That kind of challenge sounds like our kind of fun. We may not have a post every single day, but we’ll be thinking about it. We’ll share some of our favorites as often as we’re able to. Today’s Occo The Day entry is a another taco-occo-bot! We can’t stop thinking about the one we posted on the 18th, and are still laughing at some of the others in that series. None of the prompts we were working on mentioned anything about either humanoid or robot, but we like it. It is as if the octopus has crafted a machine purpose-built for moving around on land (and in a kitchen), and it controls it with ease to free up tentacles for more delicious purposes. Did the octopus dream of human mobility on land, or is it just using a machine that was available?
