In our efforts to appease the atomic octopus that lives beneath the Black Rock Desert, in hopes that it bestows great weather conditions at Burning Man 2026, we humbly offer this. An Octopus Of The Day, or Occo The Day. We think the more fun weird pictures we make, find, or post… the better the chances are for a great weather year.

That kind of challenge sounds like our kind of fun. We may not have a post every single day, but we’ll be thinking about it. We’ll share some of our favorites as often as we’re able to. Today’s Occo The Day entry is a silly one – an octopus in the kitchen! This pic was definitely not the droid we were looking for when working on a project that involved holidays and cooking a couple years ago, but we still enjoy the look and feel of it. The interconnected tentacles, random holiday ornaments and generic room background scream uncanny valley, but there is a certain playfulness that makes us smile.
