Mimosa Octopus: Kick Off Your Burning Man

There is no better way to kick off a full week of Burning Man adventures than with good friends, great conversations, and a sparkling drink in hand. That is exactly what the Mimosa Octopus celebration is all about. On Monday morning of event week, the Atomic Octopus camp invites everyone to stop by for a cheerful gathering filled with bubbles, orange juice, laughter, and plenty of playa hospitality.

If you find yourself wandering through Black Rock City around 9:00am playa time, make your way to Bodhi at approximately 3:15. You just might discover your new favorite Monday morning tradition.

Start Your Burn with a Mimosa Octopus

After a busy season of preparation, sewing and checklists, and a long drive to the event, Monday often feels like the true beginning of the Burning Man experience. Camps come alive, art cars begin roaming the city, and neighbors finally have time to visit one another. Therefore, the Mimosa Octopus party creates the perfect opportunity to slow down, meet new people, and celebrate another amazing year on the playa.

Our friendly mechanical Atomic Octopus (which looks nothing at all like the picture below) will once again preside over the festivities while camp members pour refreshing mimosas for visitors. We will have plenty of sparkling wine and orange juice ready to go. In addition, if everything goes according to plan, we may even have a few tasty snacks to enjoy alongside your morning beverage.

Finding us is easy. Simply head to Bodhi at around 3:15, keep an eye out for the giant mechanical octopus, and follow the smiling faces carrying colorful cups. Before long, you will know you have arrived at the right place.

Moreover, the Mimosa Octopus gathering is not just about drinks. Instead, it celebrates everything that makes Burning Man special. New friendships begin here. Old friends reconnect after another year apart. Stories grow taller with every refill, while laughter spreads from one corner of camp to the next.
