Occo Muse Music

Occo Muse Music

Atomic Octopus is in no way, shape or form going to be a sound camp at Burning Man. There are no massive sound rigs, there aren’t even any tiny sound rigs. However, we do have a couple speakers. They will provide a little music in our front-of-house space for guests to enjoy throughout the week. We are also excited to feature some Occo Muse Music during the event.

There won’t be any DJ’s or live performers that we are aware of. In an effort to curate a fun and wonderful atmosphere, we have been working on playlists and specially made mixes. Those playlists have, in turn, created another fun opportunity for art. We played around with generative tools to work on some cover art as we incorporated music into our plans. Since the cover art only lives on campmate devices, we figured that we would share it here.

What Is Occo Muse Music?

If you love dramatic rock music with huge energy, then Muse is a band worth exploring. Formed in Teignmouth (deep in Devon, UK), Muse blends alternative rock, progressive rock, electronic music, and arena-sized anthems into a sound that feels both futuristic and emotional. Furthermore, their music often mixes powerful guitar riffs, soaring vocals, and cinematic production.

At the center of the band is frontman (and Burning Man participant) Matt Bellamy. His high vocals and explosive guitar work help define the band’s unique style. Meanwhile, the rhythm section of Dom Howard and Chris Wolstenholme adds enormous power. This creates songs that can shift from quiet moments to massive sound explosions in seconds. This playlist will join our Retro list, as well as playlists for Underworld and Garbage.

Additionally, Muse is known for writing songs about technology, politics, space, rebellion, and humanity’s future. We timed today’s post to coincide with the band’s tenth studio album (happy album release, guys!). Because of this, many fans connect with both the music and the deeper themes hidden in the lyrics. Popular tracks often feature dramatic builds, layered instrumentation, and unforgettable choruses.

Moreover, Muse has built a reputation for incredible live performances. Their concerts are filled with giant visuals, lasers, creative staging, and crowd interaction. They are one of the best live rock bands of their generation.

In short, Muse is a band that combines rock, science fiction vibes, and emotional storytelling into something much bigger than traditional alternative music. Therefore, if you enjoy bold sounds, memorable hooks, and larger-than-life performances, Muse delivers an experience that feels both epic and unforgettable.

We are fans of the music, as well as the creative approach to presenting their art and engaging with fans.

Playing with generative tools, we went through a few iterations of what the cover art would look like for the Occo Muse music mix. Before we came up with this image, we experimented with ideas. The tools we were using are not trained using unlicensed work of professional photographers, and we were not uploading our own photos of the band for the developers to use as they see fit, the likenesses are approximate. Frontman Matt Bellamy looks pretty good, but Chris Wolstenholme and Dom Howard are only passing resemblances. It is fun and it is weird, but we like it a lot.
